As a driver, you spend a lot of time on the road. During this course, you will learn more about how to act and provide assistance in the event of accidents, your physical and mental health, and nutrition/healthy eating. It is no secret that many drivers face long working hours and heavy physical demands. This makes it all the more important to take good care of yourself and your body. A healthy approach to work benefits the wellbeing and health of drivers, the safety and comfort of passengers, and ultimately the employer as well (reduced absenteeism and improved customer satisfaction).

The following topics are covered during the course:

  • General safety awareness and lifestyle
  • Elements of physical and mental health
  • Nutrition, alcohol, drugs, and medication
  • Rights, obligations, and behavior regarding safe working practices
  • The importance of a good work/life balance
  • Sickness absence and disability
  • Safe use of aids during loading and unloading
  • Duration & periodic training (Code 95)

This course lasts one day (7 teaching hours) and counts for 7 hours towards the periodic training requirement (Code 95).
